L'ORÉAL Infalliable 24H Foundation- Review!
Hey guys! I haven't done a review yet on this blog and since i just purchased the new l'oreal foundation i though, why not start now!
Hope you enjoy!
*DISCLAIMER* i'm not claiming to know a lot about make-up and what i say about this product is not a professional review! This is just my personal view on this product, so just don't take this too seriously! (-:
Firstly, i have the colour 015 porcelain which i think is the lightest colour, because i'm practically a ghost! The colour suits my skin really well, i often have difficulty finding a foundation they either make me look orange or yellow, even buying the lightest colour. That's the first thing that made me like this foundation, it actually matched my skin colour! I got mine from superdrug and it cost £8.99, i guess depending on where you purchase the product, depends on how much you'll pay.
There's 8 different colours choices, bit of a downside if you have darker skin as the colours only go up to a "tanned" skin colour. (Image was found from the l'oreal website: http://www.loreal-paris.co.uk/make-up/infallible-face.aspx)
This foundation is said to have a high coverage, i do agree that this foundation has a good coverage but if you're interested in a full coverage then you will need to add concealer; overall though it's a nice coverage, not too cakey either!
It says it's meant to last you 24hrs now, i don't believe any foundation will last you 24hrs without some form of "touch up" but this does a pretty good job! It lasts until the evening if i'm not doing a lot and sweating, but if i've got a busy day on then it will probably need a touch up to make it last a little longer! (Also in my opinion, if you're willing to invest in a primer that helps too! But it's not essential!)
When it comes to "does it cover redness and spots?" the answer if yes! I suffer from quite bad red skin and this foundation does a great job in covering that up, which i love! I also have quite large dark circles under my eyes so i need concealer there, but even with the foundation by itself it does a good job of covering those up too. I do think that even with the most high end foundations, concealer is something that is needed, just for those little bits that the foundation might not have fully covered!
This foundation also claims to be hydrating, which is something that convinced me to buy it as i suffer from quite dry skin so i always like to get a hydrating foundation. It does deliver! The foundation is quite light when on the skin and does not dry my skin out like some foundations do and it applies nicely on my skin. It does not mean that you can not wear moisturiser before applying foundation as that's something you should always do, but it does keep the skin hydrated and doesn't make it look dry or "tired" after long wear.
Below is what the foundation looks like after first application! (i apologise for my odd looking face!)
Overall, this foundation does match up to the claims it makes! Admittedly, it's can be a bit pricey if you're not one to spend a lot on foundations but i do believe that it is worth the money, it's a good foundation for the price you're paying. In my opinion, for someone that doesn't often wear foundation as they always make me look orange or cakey etc, this is a foundation i could use daily still feels light on the skin! I would recommend this if you're looking for a new foundation!
I hope you've enjoyed my first review! I tried my best to give a full review and cover everything, but if not then i'm sorry, i'll keep trying!
Let me know what you think of this foundation, if you have it? If you don't have it, do you want it? & What's your favourite foundation?
Thank you!
