"Why are you so skinny?"

Hey guys, i know i haven't posted on here in a while, i've had a bit of a mind block on what to post! I saw a video that Zoella and Louise did from a while back just called, "Why are you so skinny?" they basically covered about body image and the thoughts towards more "skinnier" people etc. So, i thought i'd give my thoughts on it too!
Enjoy!
*DISCLAIMER* i am not trying to "copy" Zoe and Louise, i'm simple giving my own opinions on the subject. Also, i'm not in anyway trying to offend anyone!

Now, i have had to deal with the whole "why are you so skinny?" "have you eaten?" "are you anorexic?" and the many other ridiculous questions that surround skinnier people. If you switch that round to commenting on larger people's weight, for example, "why are you so big?" then it's just rude and horrible to even think of saying that to someone, so why is it okay to say it to someone skinny? 90% of people are unhappy with their bodies whether they are larger or skinnier and it's not pleasant when someone points out those insecurities, it makes you feel so small.

I am quite a thin person, i have a fast metabolism and i'm also quite tall this leads to me being quite skinny no matter how much i try and put on weight, it's just my body shape (i had a figure, it would most likely be 1, rather than an 8!) and i've come to accept that. I'll dress appropriately to suit my body type, accentuate parts of me that i like and it's now made me a lot happier with my body type! Now, what i don't enjoy is people picking on the fact that i'm skinny, telling me i need to eat, asking me if i'm anorexic etc, it's just rude. Not everyone can accept the body type they have and it may take time for them to come to terms with it, so what they do not need is someone else pointing out to them what they are clearly already aware of!

I don't want this to turn in to a rant, and i don't want to offend anyone or hurt anyone i'm just trying to get my point across on how words can affect people, whether you mean to or not. You may think you're complimenting that person by saying they're skinny or, saying you wish you were as skinny as them etc etc. but it may not come across that way.

Anyway, i'm not going to make this a long post and like i said, i don't want it to turn in a rant i'm simply trying to put a point across. I've had to deal with the inane and sometimes hurtful questions about how i look, so i thought that this was the best way i can truly express how i feel about it.
I promise to make a more cheerful post soon!
But i appreciate you for reading and maybe you can relate to this? Or are you one to ask these questions? Either way, let me know!
