Trip to London!
Hey guys! As you may know i spent Monday to Wednesday in London with my lovely boyfriend! We crammed quite a lot in for the three days that we had and it was so great having a "mini-break" before we both start our new jobs! So, i decided i'd make a blog post of our trip, hope you enjoy!
Day One:
We arrived into London at around ten to one, but we couldn't check in to our hotel until three, ugh. So, we spent the majority of the afternoon wandering around St. Pancras, how exciting! We had lunch in a french café/restaurant thing called Le Pain Quotidien i have to say, it's quite pricey but it's a lovely place to eat, i'd recommend it!
After we spent what seemed like hours in St. Pancras we checked into our hotel, freshened up and went to the London eye! This was my second time going on the eye and it's something that you need to do when visiting London!
Once we've finished with the eye we went back king's cross and found a NANDOS, which is always a winner having a nandos near your hotel.
End of first day!
Day Two:
Brian forced me to get up at like eight in the morning, to which i was NOT impressed, but hey ho, we had quite a lot to do that day! We'd left the hotel by about nine-ish to have breakfast in Le Pain Quotidien, i had scrambled egg, salmon and toast which was amazing! (Sadly, i wasn't totally hipster-y and instagram or take a photo of it, i apologise.)
We went straight from breakfast to the London sea life aquarium (i don't think you understand how excited i was to be going there, oh my lord, i was SO EXCITE). You probably don't know about my crazy shark obsession, it's quite worrying actually, but i think they're so pretty and i want one... moving on.. Basically, i love anything to do with the sea and fish and things so this was amazing! I think we spent two to three hours in there and it's most certainly worth it, if you're ever visiting London i recommend going! We then went straight from there to oxford circus and regent street, all those shops to have a browse around while we had some spare time. Oh yeah, walking out of Liberties we bumped into Reggie Yates, that was cool.
THEN WE GET TO THE BEST PART OF THE TRIP, BRIAN SURPRISED ME WITH TICKETS TO SEE THE LION KING MUSICAL!
But first, we went for dinner at a place called Maxwells (i think) in Covent Garden then we RAN to the theatre, which is not fun on a full stomach... Unfortunately, you weren't allowed to take pictures while you were in the theatre but trust me when i say, IT IS AMAZING, IT'S SO GOOD. For someone who is one of the biggest disney fan's in the entire world i think i exploded inside seeing it.
I was so so so incredibly grateful and shocked and just so happy that Brian had gotten us tickets for that, it was, just indescribable how happy i was. LOVE YOU BRI-PIE.
Then we lazily made our way back to the hotel.
End of day two! (best day!)
Day Three:
Since we had a train to catch at half two we decided that we'd keep things simple on the last day, and not go too far. Walking back from the theatre last night we walked past the London Film museum which is currently hosting the Bond In Motion exhibition, it's all of the James Bond cars from all of the films! Brian is the biggest James Bond fan that i know, so we couldn't leave London and not go there, so that's where we spent our last day in London! Now, i'm not a huge bond fan but i really enjoyed spending time in there, it's interesting to see the cars and a few other props from the films.
After the bond museum we went to Harrods and had a some coffee and had a look around before we had to go back to Kings Cross and get our train home. *sad face*
Okay, that was a rather long blog post, but i tried to shorten it down as much as i could!
I had the best time in London and i didn't want to come home, but that's always a good sign of a holiday!
Hope you guys enjoyed reading about my little holiday, have you done any of the things we did? If not, do you want to do any of it? Have you guys got anything else i could do in London next time i go? Let me know! I'll also being doing a post with just images of the "photography" i did while i was down there too, but i couldn't fit that in this post too!
Thanks for reading!
