Positivity!

Hey guys, this is a bit of a different post compared to previous ones, but i thought it would be good for some people to read. I hope you enjoy this post, even though it is a bit different compared to others, it's not beauty or hair or anything, but enjoy!

Okay guys, recently i've been feeling a little unhappy about a few things in my life I don't want to go into detail about how i've been feeling since i don't want to seem like i'm "craving attention" or something stupid. I know that a lot of people suffer from quite similar problems when it comes to feeling, quite down, unhappy and sometimes not yourself, so i want to tell you all what i do when i begin to feel like this and how i start to feel better!

1. Write in a diary. I wasn't all into writing a diary at first, i basically thought it was like talking to myself but it writing form, but it makes you feel so much better to write down how you're feeling! I know diaries are shown in movies to be super cheesy and writing about boys and school and blah blah, that's not really true (unless, you want to i suppose).
If you've had a pretty tough day or you just have a lot to say, write it down! You will feel 100x better after you've written down all your thoughts and feelings, even if it's 100 pages long, do it!

2. Everyday tell yourself (or write down) 5 things you like about yourself! Don't always feel so negative about yourself, i know that when you're feeling down all you can do is think about all these negative thoughts well, STOP RIGHT NOW. Whenever you begin to have a negative thought stop and tell yourself 5 things that you love about yourself! Your personality, how you look, anything that you find as an asset to yourself! You'll soon begin to believe what you're saying and your confidence will boost!

3. Find things to look forward too. Plan trips with your friends, family even just plan things to look forward to with yourself (i know that sounds sad, but we all need me time!). Having something to look forward to will most likely brighten your day completely and it'll make you feel so much better! For example, when you're at school or work, you can look forward to something as simple as going out for dinner with your friends, or family or partner, it'll make your day fly over as well!

4. Take a walk. Whether you live in a large city or you live in the middle of no where, take a walk just to clear your head have a think, and spend lots of time just with yourself. Spending time with yourself is something that always helps, it just gives a whole time to think about yourself, thinking about life and just clear your head of any thoughts that have been bringing you down, or worrying me etc. It's also nice just to see around the area in which you live too!

5. Finally, find a way to express yourself! Now, this is something that is totally up to you, find something you really love and just go for it! That could be back to writing in a diary, drawing, playing games, playing with make-up, anything you enjoy! If you find something that you really enjoy and can express yourself with, it will make you feel so much better and you'll be able to focus on something else rather than any negative feelings that may have been bothering you before!

I hope this has been helpful to you, even if you just take one of those bits of advice i hope it helps you! I know everyone has their own ways of dealing with these feelings, but i hope i've given you a bit of inspiration on how to make yourself feeling better!
If you have any tips on positive thoughts, leave them below!

April Favourites!

Hey guys! April has been a month where i've tried a few different things, not just mke-up but hair things and other bits and pieces that i thought you'd all enjoy to know about!
Hope you enjoy!

My first favourite is something that's been a favourite of mine since probably christmas two years ago! It is my favourite perfume of all time, Marc Jacobs Dasiy, eau so fresh! I got this for christmas a couple of years ago and i love it, it smells so fresh and summery and it's definitely my "go-to" fragrance for the summer! You don't need a lot of it, it's just a subtle scent that you'll love!

Next, is the Tresemme keratin smooth conditioner. I've heard good reviews from this product and i'm always on the market for something that will sort out my mad split ends, so i'm up for giving anything a try and this did not disappoint! I was told not to use this too often as it is quite a "thick" conditioner, so i usually wash my hair every other day (i know some people will be like, "ew gross!" but washing your hair everyday removes the natural oils of your hair and can damage it, so meh.) so i use this twice a week and it did wonders for me! It smoothed my hair out and helped with frizz and also helped with split ends. Now, it wont completely remove any split ends, without getting hair cuts on a regular basis, and not using too much heat etc etc. But still, definitely recommend!

Something else that i've been loving recently is the benefit porefessional pore minimizing cream! I only bought this about a week ago now, but i had to include it in my favourites because i absolutely love it! I hadn't heard one bad review about this and i now know why! You can put it on before you apply your make-up (this is what i do) or you can apply a small amount over your make-up, it smooths out your pores and makes your skin suuuuper soft. I only need to use a small amount where i need it, and it can be used on it's on for lazy days as well. I know that it is quite expensive, i know, but you don't need a lot and it will last a long time and it is worth the money! Splurge a little!

My next favourite isn't a beauty thing or a hair thing, it's a youtuber! Now, you may not know but i'm big on watching youtubers, beauty bloggers, vloggers etc. But my favourite youtuber of this month is iiSuperwomanii! She's a comedian vlogger and she does little sketches about life, a lot of things you can relate to and she makes me laugh so much! If you're into watching youtubers you should check her out, i'll leave a link to her channel here! https://www.youtube.com/user/IISuperwomanII

Another make-up favourite for this month is the Rimmel Stay Matte powder. I had this about a year ago i used this powder but for some reason i stopped buying it, i just go on to try other bits of make-up and i've recently gone back to it. I really love it and it's so cheap and cheerful it's such a good powder, it gives you such a good finish, you don't need a lot and i have it for a long time before ever hitting pan! If you're just starting out with make-up i'd recommend this powder to anyone, it's cheap and lovely!

My final favourite for this month is the Soap and Glory sugar crush body wash. This smells amazing, i can't describe scents very well but it smells like a strong lime smell but not too strong that it's off putting, it's just refreshing! I love using it on a morning as it's a great summer/spring scent and it just wakes you up, ready for the morning! Soap and Glory do such lovely scents and i'm going to definitely get the exfoliator and the body butter as well, ready for the summer!

Hope you guys enjoyed my April favourites! I wanted to try and get a few summer/spring things in to my favourites as summer is coming and i'm trying out new things ready for it! What are you favourites for the month? Do you like any of the things i've mentioned? Let me know!

My 18th birthday weekend!

Hey guys! So, on the 2nd May it was my 18th birthday! It was such a good couple of days and i loved spending time with my family and boyfriend, it was perfect!
I thought it would be a good blog post to show you guys what i did!
Hope you enjoy!

On my actual birthday on the Friday i spent some of it with my family, opening presents having a few drinks that sort of thing. I got the most amazing cake ever as well, a disney princess cake! (i swear, i am 18)
BAM, now lets take a moment to appreciate how amazing this cake is

After we'd done presents and things my boyfriend took me out to dinner at a lovely italian restaurant! If you know me at all, you know that italian is my FAVOURITE type of food, i practically live on pizza anyway.. but i resisted the temptation to get pizza and i got the most amazing linguine carbonara! We also had a bottle of prosecco as well, which was lovely! Overall, it was a  perfect evening and a perfect start to my birthday.

On the Saturday my family and my boyfriend all went to york for the day! York is not too far from where we live and it's such a lovely city to visit, if you live near i'd suggest going for the day!
My dad forced me into going to the railway museum first, which i wasn't thrilled about but i ended up really enjoying it! We first went into their cafe which is all based like a train, so the seats are old style train carriages, which was cute!

After having a coffee we had a look around the museum, and here are some photos from there!

Then we went into the city of York to do some shopping! I tried to go into more shops that you can't really find in my local area, because i go there any time, apart from when i went into boots... I ended up heading to the benefit counter and my bank balance cried. I bought a new BB cream, the porefessional and a cleansing kit too! I shouldn't be allowed to visit any make-up stand because i can NEVER SAY NO. *sigh*
We then all had a look around the market stalls, i'd never seen the market in York before and it was so lovely! They had some really unique and sometimes unusual things, which was cool to see. But really the rest of the day it was spent walking around the shops and spending time with my family and my boyfriend, especially when the weather was great!
Here are some more photos from my day (mostly just me and Brian on the train but w/e)
Enjoy!

Hope you enjoyed that post, i know it wasn't anything too interesting but i thought it would be nice to share with you!
How did you spend your weekend? Go anywhere nice? Let me know!

My top 5 favourite make-up products!

Hey guys! I know i haven't posted in a while, but i've been mad busy at work *cries* but i'm back now! I thought a good post would be to tell you guys what my favourite 5 make-up products! (These aren't in order of preference either!)
Hope you enjoy!

1. L'ORÉAL Infalliable 24H Foundation! I did a review of this not long ago, so i won't bore you with what i've already said, but i LOVE this foundation! I'm the type of person that doesn't enjoy wearing a heavy foundation, it feels like there's too much on my face and before i started using this foundation, i'd just wear concealer on where i needed. What's great about this foundation is it feels very light on the skin but has a great coverage, in my opinion! It's £9.99 so it's a cheap foundation and it's really good for the price! If you want a better and more in depth review on this then i have whole review of this on my blog!(http://aprilnicoleclark.blogspot.com/2014/02/loreal-infalliable-24h-foundation-review.html)

2. Real Techniques buffing brush! This brush is my savour! Before i had this brush i use to either use my hands are i'd use flat foundation brush (which i really didn't like!), and it didn't appeal my foundation right and i always use to hate the way it made me look! So, i chose to invest in one of these and i'm so so glad i did! It's such a soft brush and it applies foundation so nicely and gives a lovely finish to it! Although some people think that £9.99 is quite expensive for a foundation brush and if you're a student or your a little younger when trying make-up, i do agree, but it's so worth the money! If you have the money spare then it's worth investing in!

3. Sleek blush in the colour pixie pink! I've spoken about this before in my blog in my January favourites, so like with the foundation i wont bore you with the details here too! But basically i've always heard good things about sleek products and i'd been intrigued to give them a try, so glad i did! They're very pigmented and they last a long time, i've had my blush a long time and i haven't even hit pan yet! I also have the storm palette from sleek too and that's just as good too!

4. Revlon lip butter in the colour watermelon! I've bought a couple of these and i really want them all, they're so nice! As much as i like wearing lipstick it does really dry my lips out, so these lip butters are perfect for me! They're super moisturising and they give a good burst of colour to your lips which i also love, they're my new favourite thing! These lip butters are like a lipstick but a lot more hydrating, but they last a long time as well, so if you're not wanting to update your make-up all day (like me!) they're so good for you! Definitely recommend!

5. Finally, maybelline master precise eye-liner! This is my signature eye-liner, i've used a few other different ones but i always end up going back to this one! It applies so nicely and you can get really good precise lines with this too! If you're new with eye-liner or you're not too good at drawing the perfect lines then i'd suggest this for sure! It's a good price (although i can't remember the exact price!) it's a cheap and good eye-liner if you're looking for one!

Hope you enjoyed that post! They're my top 5 make-up products, at the moment since it changes all the time, i'm always trying new things! Do you guys agree with my favourites? What are your thoughts on these products, do you wanna give them a try too?
Let me know!

My night-time skin care routine!

Hey guys! This post is something that has been requested and i've been wanting to talk about anyway, my night time skin care!
I don't do anything fancy on a night because usually i'm too tired and i just want to get my make-up off and get to bed, but here it is anyway!
Hope you enjoy!
(Also, if you're interested in other skin care routines then below is another blog, with more tips and tricks for your nightly skin care!)

1. First, i'll take all of my make-up off with a make-up wipe, i don't use any particular brand of facewipe usually just the cheapest when i go and buy them! However, i will try and find wipes that are for sensitive and dry skin, just as a preference.
I will go over and get as much make-up off as i can with that before i go on to the next bit. (Sometimes if i'm super duber tired i'll just use the make-up wipe and moisturise.)

2. Next, i will use my Simple cleansing lotion and a large cotton pad and completely go over my face to remove any make-up that might have been left over. I also do this to properly clean my face too, if i'm having a bad skin day i'll usually do this step twice just to really clean my face. Simple (as far as i know) is the only skin products that i can use as i have SUPER sensitive skin! I've tried using other skin products such as, clean and clear, neutrogena, clearasil etc. but all bring out in horrible rashes and dry skin, sadly.

3. After cleansing it's always good to tone, to close your pours before you moisturise, i use Simple toner too. (I always have to use the same skin care products, i don't know why!) There's not too much else i can say about toning, but yeah, do it!

4. The final step for me is moisturising! Now, Simple do a few different moisturisers, they have some that are for sun protection, some that help with vitamin C etc. I use the "kind to skin" moisturiser, it's very light and perfect for if you're younger too and you don't want a really heavy moisturiser.

AND THAT'S IT! On a morning instead of using my simple moisturiser, i'll use my nivea primer/moisturiser. Also, on some nights i'll use a face mask too along with my skin care routine!

Thanks for reading guys!

March Favourites!

Hey guys! This is like my third post within the last week, i'm on a roll! (but please don't expect that to continue, i suddenly got a burst of post idea, they'll soon disappear, wah.)
This is my March favourites, hope you enjoy!

My first favourite is another game! Last month it was the game Bully and after having another look on steam, i found Lego: Harry Potter Years 1-4! I'm such a huge harry potter fan and when i was younger i had lego indiana jones, batman and star wars on ps2, so it was only right to get this too! It's pretty self-explanatory what the game is about, you're basically playing through the films but you're made of lego! It's not the most difficult of games so if you're in to "difficult" games then this is maybe not the best for you, but if you're a big kid and love harry potter than i'd suggest giving this game a go!

Next is an actual beauty product rather than a game, Kate Moss lipstick in the colour 107. I know these lipsticks have been out for a while now and i'm a little behind on trying them but i'm so so glad i did! I've never really been into wearing quite "bright" lipstick but i couldn't resist trying out this colour! They're extremely pigmented and they last such a long time which is great, i'm the type of person that doesn't enjoy topping up during the day so this is great! After buying the 107 i went back and bought the light baby pink colour 110 which is just as lovely too!

Next is the first item of clothing in my favourites, a mint green flowing crop top from Topshop! I wanted to start buying clothes for summer a little early since i'm praying the weather begins to get warmer (please). It's super soft and so comfortable to wear, it's even nice to wear on lazy days, perfect for me! It's also nice to dress up with some jeans and a pair of heeled boots, or even dress down too! For only £10 it's definitely one of my new favourite pieces of clothing!

Another make-up favourite this month is my collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer! I go through so many of these during a month it's a staple in my everyday make-up wear. This concealer is great for under-eye circles and brilliant for covering blemishes too! It's so cheap for what you get too, it's better than some high end and more expensive concealers!
(I apolgise in the picture for the yucky look of it, it's been sat in my make-up bag since London!)

Next on my favourites is my Garnier: Intensive 7 days body lotion. Now, when it comes to moisturising i'm pretty lazy, so when i read this 7 DAYS MOISTURISE i was pretty much sold. It's not too heavy which is also a bonus so it dries quicker than most, i hate waiting around for moisturiser to dry! Another thing is it's such a large bottle it's lasted me such a long time too, because with forgetting to moisturise i also forget to buy more moisturiser.. *sigh*. Oh, it smells good too.

My final favourite of this month is the Avon: big colour, eye pencil in the colour pink diamond! I've seen quite a lot of people using these eye pencils instead of shadows and i thought i'd give it a go too, since i was curious if they were any good or not! Looking in avon i found these and since they were only £2.50 i could really say no to buying it, and it's i'm glad i bought it! It's a light baby pink colour and it's subtle enough to wear as everyday make-up, or you can use it as a more going out make-up look too. If you can get Avon in your area then go ahead and get one, there's so many colour choices if you're more into neutrals and things.
(Again i'm sorry for it looking a bit yucky, it's also been in my make-up bag too!)

Well, they're my favourites for the month of March, hope you enjoyed reading!
What are your favourites for this month? Do you want to try any of the products i've mentioned, have you tried them? Let me know!
